The Saturn V Rocket was designed for the Apollo program at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, the Saturn V was first launched on November 9th, 1967 and its last flight was in 1973. It was a multistage liquid-fueled launch vehicle. NASA launched 13 Saturn Vs from Cape Canaveral, Florida, with no loss of crew or payload. It remains the tallest, heaviest, and most powerful rocket ever used operationally and still holds the record for the heaviest launch vehicle payload. See Wikipedia for more details
